Sr. Analyst, Data Analytics

The Poshmark data analytics team is looking for a Sr. Data Analyst for their growing International businesses outside the US. This position will be key to drive insights and help make business decisions as we grow globally. You will have a unique opportunity to work with a fast growing international team to proactively identify and drive new data initiatives that will ultimately help grow Poshmark across the globe. This person will be focussed on providing analytics support and data insights to various international teams (currently just Canada and more very soon..) 
Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Core business metrics by partnering with key business stakeholders to identify, measure and monitor trends for international businesses of Poshmark
  • Communicate actionable insights to stakeholders and maintain required documentation to ensure inventory of all key findings and growth opportunities
  • Perform extensive QA to ensure the quality and integrity of data. Follow the standard process for reporting any issues identified and work with the appropriate Data teams to close any data issues
  • Identify the opportunities for automated reporting and monitoring by working with the Data Engineering team to get the automation implemented. 
  • Understand our US business and identify new opportunities or different trends for our international business
  • Define and understand country specific KPIs. Analyze growth and product experiments data
  • Partner with Directors of International Expansion and help them make data driven decisions to expand Poshmark business
6-Month Accomplishments 
  • Understand Poshmark marketplace end to end and help develop country specific automated reporting systems to monitor performance of business 
  • Help growth teams make fast spend allocation by analyzing growth data
  • Build in the right processes and time to thoroughly QA data and insights
12+ Month Accomplishments
  • Able to take on projects more independently and deliver them
  • Deep dive into more granular data and understand user engagement behaviours and consumer trends in the international markets
  • Demonstrate ability to lead conversations with key business stakeholders and partners
Requirements
    • 3-5 years of strong data analytics experience in the areas of Growth/Customer Analytics or Business Analytics in ecommerce or social platform is a big plus
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in a technical discipline. Education in business or analytics discipline is a plus
    • Expert knowledge of SQL is must. Exposure and familiarity with Python, R, Spark SQL preferred
    • Hands-on experience with BO tools like Tableau, Looker or similar tool strongly preferred
    • Experience with statistical techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, time series forecasting etc. is preferred but not required
    • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts with emphasis on statistical hypothesis testing (t-tests, z-tests, etc.) and inferential statistics is nice to have
    • Detail oriented and expert in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights simplified manner to non technical audiences
    • Strong business acumen with aptitude to apply it critically towards solving problems
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
